Business ethics

Commitment to high ethical standards is one of the core values of AS Tallinna Vesi Group. In everyday business, we expect our employees, customers and partners to follow the principles of strong business ethics set forth in the Group’s Code of Conduct.

AS Tallinna Vesi has also established a whistleblowing policy outlining the procedure for raising concerns and reporting incidents that are in conflict with the law, ethical standards or AS Tallinna Vesi’s Code of Conduct.

The employees, partners and third parties of AS Tallinna Vesi have the opportunity to use various channels to raise concerns or report incidents of unethical behaviour. All of the reports will be analysed by an independent partner of AS Tallinna Vesi. The system of reporting and processing the information ensures that the confidentiality and anonymity of the reporting party are retained if so requested.

BEFORE REPORTING A CONCERN PLEASE PREPARE TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS AS ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE:

  • where did the incident happen;
  • when did the incident happen;
  • description of the incident;
  • who are the involved people (names, positions);
  • how did you become aware of the incident;
  • do you have any evidence about the incident (is anybody else aware of it, any documented evidence);
  • do you wish to retain full anonymity or give your contacts to an independent service provider so that they can contact you to obtain further information during the investigation. Even in that case your identity will not be revealed to AS Tallinna Vesi.

REPORT FORM

Please fill in the Report Form on AS Tallinna Vesi’s webpage. We assure you that AS Tallinna Vesi will not record the data reported via the webpage and the information will automatically be sent to an independent third party who will review and analyse the report.

Please send an e-mail to astv@vihja.ee  and it will be forwarded to an independent third party Ernst&Young who will process the information.

HOTLINE

Reports can be submitted via a 24/7 automatic hotline (+372) 786 8602 in Estonian, English or Russian. The call is subject to the ordinary call fee and your report will be recorded by an answering machine. The reports will be automatically forwarded to an independent third party Ernst&Young who will process the information.

DIRECT COMMUNICATION

Direct communication is instrumental in supporting trust-based relationships between employees and managers in AS Tallinna Vesi. In the case of a concern or explicit knowledge of a wrongdoing, we recommend that you contact your direct manager, the Head of Legal and Procurement at mailis.kullerkupp@tvesi.ee, HR Director at hels.mikkal@tvesi.ee, a Management Board member or the Chairman of the Audit Committee of AS Tallinna Vesi by an e-mail to brendan.murphy@uuplc.co.uk.
