Results of operations - for the year 2015

  • Drinking Water Quality. In 2015, the quality of drinking water taken from the customers’ tap was 99.86% compliant with the requirements. This is the best result in the Company’s history. In the service are of Maardu, all samples taken from the customers’ taps met all the requirements.
  • Leakage Level. In 2015, the level of leakages reached the lowest point ever – 14.68%. This means that compared to 2014 we saved nearly 500,000 m3 of treated drinking water, which is the amount of water inhabitants of Tallinn use in one week.
  • Customer Satisfaction. Last year the Company achieved an exceptionally high level of customer satisfaction reaching the level of 94 TRIM index points, according to the survey carried out by TNS EMOR. This is the best result so far, considerably outperforming the average satisfaction level of both European and Estonian industries.
  • Recognition
    • For the third consecutive year, AS Tallinna Vesi became the winner in the Nasdaq Baltc Market awards main category „The Best Investor Relations in the Baltic Countries”. In addition, we were recognized with the first prize in the categories of “The Best Investor Relations on the Baltic Markets According to the Analysts”, “The Best Interactive Investor Relations on the Baltic Markets“ and “The Most Trustworthy Company on the Baltic Markets”.
    • We received the "Good Working Environment 2015" award, showing that we are moving in the right direction.
    • We were awarded with a Golden Mark in Corporate Social Responsibility index. This is a sign of being responsible in our actions and minds through the business. The marks are being issued in cooperation with the Estonian Responsible Business Forum, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communication, KPMG, daily newspaper Äripäev and the Estonian Business School.
    • In the end of 2015, City of Tallinn gave us the title of the "The Most Children and Youth Friendly Company in Tallinn in 2015", recognizing the work we are doing with children and young people to educate an environment-friendly new generation.
  • For the Environment
    • A large environment project of building fish passes on the Sae, Vaskjala and Kaunissaare dams was completed. Aim of the passes is to improve the biological diversity and aquatic environment and thus the overall condition of the rivers in the catchment area.
    • In the Wastewater Treatment Plant, construction of the new coagulant dosing unit was completed. Coagulant is a chemical used for removing phosphorus from the wastewater. The new dosing system significantly improves the efficiency of phosphorus removal and makes the use of coagulant in the wastewater treatment process more effective.
    • More than 3,500 people visited our water and wastewater treatment plants. This number shows the interest that people have in how the drinking water is treated and how the tap water reaches our homes, as well as in the wastewater treatment and environment protection.
    • Our employees visit the schools and kindergartens to discuss the water circle and water-related topics. This way, 1,482 kids became more environment-friendly last year.
  • Awareness. 2015 customer satisfaction survey, carried out by an independent research company TNS EMOR, confirmed that more and more of our clients and customers trust the quality of tap water. In 2015, an average of 82% customers drank tap water, while in 2011 this number was only 48%.
  • Compliance. The compliance of our activity with the management systems OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EMAS standard was reconfirmed in 2015.
