The 54th Tallinna Vesi Run Around Lake Ülemiste
On Saturday, 29 August, participants can take part in the 54th Tallinna Vesi Run Around Lake Ülemiste. In addition, the event programme includes the Ülemiste Forest Run and children’s races. Both the Forest Run and the Run Around Lake Ülemiste are open not only to runners but also to walkers. The event offers a rare opportunity to access the otherwise restricted area surrounding Tallinn’s main drinking water reservoir.

On Saturday, 29 August, you can run or walk one of three distances:
- The 54th Tallinna Vesi Run Around Lake Ülemiste (14.2 km)
- The 22nd Ülemiste Forest Run (3 km)
- Children’s Races for children up to 12 years old (250 m)
For the first time, a mascot race will take place at 11:15 a.m. between the children’s races, where spectators can also cheer on Tilgu, Tallinn Water’s mascot!
Tilgu will also be greeting children at Tallinn Water’s children’s area, where they can enjoy arts and crafts activities and take part in water experiments.
We kindly ask all participants to allow sufficient time to arrive at the event centre on time. This year, parking arrangements have changed, and access to the water treatment plant premises is not possible due to the construction of a new building and increased security requirements.
Parking is available in the parking areas adjacent to the water treatment plant. The largest nearby parking facility is at Ülemiste Centre, where visitors can park free of charge for up to five hours. The shopping centre is located approximately one kilometre from the event centre. Participants are also encouraged to use public transport or bicycles. 9:30 – The event centre opens. Collection of race materials and on-site registration begin (cash payment only).
10:00 – Registration opens for the children's races. Participation is free and open to children up to 12 years old.
11:00 – Start of the children's races (250 m).
11:15 – Mascot race
11:40 – The start corral opens for the 22nd Ülemiste Forest Run.
11:40 – Sparta warm-up session for participants of the Lake Run.
11:45 – The start corral opens for the 54th Tallinna Vesi Run Around Lake Ülemiste.
11:50 – Start of the 22nd Ülemiste Forest Run.
12:00 – Start of the 54th Tallinna Vesi Run Around Lake Ülemiste.
12:07 – Expected finish of the first participants in the Forest Run.
12:46 – Expected finish of the first participants in the Lake Ülemiste Run.
14:00 – Awards ceremony (22nd Ülemiste Forest Run, 54th Tallinna Vesi Run Around Lake Ülemiste, and the 2026 Maru Lake Running Series).
