For us, addressing environmental objectives is not a one-off activity, but a continuous movement towards a fresher future. It helps us to see our actions as a whole and to understand how each decision affects the environment.

Environmental targets

Water use

  • Reducing clean water loss by reducing leakages.
  • Reducing the number of sewer blockages by 4%, compared to the 2020–2022 average.
  • Reusing treated effluent at the wastewater treatment plant.

Environmental care and awareness, environmental permits and waste management

  • All environmental permits are in place and our actions or inactions do not cause environmental pollution.
  • Reducing the number of properties not using wastewater services.
  • Raising awareness among various stakeholders of our environmental actions to maintain and improve the company’s good reputation.
  • Monitoring the quality of stormwater at the Lasnamäe water metering unit.
  • Reducing the amount of waste and the resulting nuisance from the construction and rehabilitation of water and wastewater pipes by increasing the use of no-dig methods.

Wastewater treatment and monitoring

  • Starting the optimisation of wastewater treatment.
  • Mapping and monitoring customers who pose a potentially high pollution risk.

Greenhouse gas emissions and energy production

  • Monitoring greenhouse gas emissions from wastewater treatment.
  • Producing our own electricity.
