We are the Sustainable Company of the Year

Tallinna Vesi received a major and prestigious recognition at the Estonian Successful Companies Awards Gala held on 27 November – we were awarded the title of Sustainable Company of the Year!

This recognition means a great deal to us, and we have invested significantly in this journey. Our work has always been guided by value-based goals, meaningful purpose, consistency and inclusion.

At Tallinna Vesi, we are responsible for supplying drinking water to nearly half a million people and, on the other hand, for ensuring that wastewater is treated in an environmentally responsible way and returned safely to nature. This responsibility helps us maintain a clear focus, set long-term and meaningful goals, seek innovative solutions, and engage both our employees and the community in making sustainable choices.

Our company began building its environmental management system in the mid-2000s, which is why these topics are deeply integrated into our daily operations and strategic decisions. We actively address challenges such as implementing energy-efficient solutions and ensuring operational resilience, while continuously monitoring environmental impacts. We are also working proactively to develop climate-resilient infrastructure and to renew water and wastewater pipelines with as little environmental disturbance as possible.

The title we received yesterday is a confirmation that our actions have an impact and that we are on the right path.
